With recent news about Doctor Who I think scriptwriting teachers have a new exercise: Imagine you are a production company and write a pitch for taking over the next series. I think Javi Grillo-Maxrouch's library of pitches would be a great place to start:
look, we spent decades shitting on lucas for adding rontos and dewbacks... but my six year old loved it all, from the schtickier robot slapstick to ol' obi's jedi mind trick ("what? how did he do THAT?"). i can't imagine a greater compliment than i can pay uncle george. (2/5)
