Doing philology is giving me solace when the world is very stupid right now.
In the same catalogue Super Mario 2 (the US version which was a reskinned Doki Doki Panic) was sold for $39.95 USD, which is $96.97 in today's money.
I think the kids complaining about $80 games today probably a bit overwrought.
