This has been hanging the wind for years…. Nice to see it finally drop.
It is great and Zeynep had pointed out two years ago, that there was no firman. Without the courage of a UK government and British Museum to make the necessary changes, the law will not allow for deaccession. We continue to campaign www.parthenonuk.com/latest-news/...

I’m midway through this excellent book. I strongly recommend it. It’s opening whole new vistas for me. It’s an excellent companion to Barry Cunliffe’s books: for example, The Scythians and Facing the Sea of Sand.
