On #Vyshyvanka Day, we cohosted a cooking demonstration and dinner for leading U.S. journalists at the Norwegian Residence for an evening of culinary diplomacy, conversation, & solidarity with Ukraine.
Puffins have a long history in Norway.
Historically, they were actually on the menu! This even led to the creation of a very special dog breed: the Norwegian Lundehund, which was bred specifically to scale the rocky cliffs of Værøy to hunt them.
What Norway lacks in penguins, we make up for in puffins!
