The June 1992 issue of ‘Select’ magazine featuring Kylie Minogue and Bobby Gillespie on the cover was the very first issue I ever bought (from a little cornershop in Gateshead on a Saturday afternoon whilst I was visiting my Grandmother)
The walls of my room in student flats were covered in posters from Select. Loved that magazine.
Today's social media ban announcement is like John Major banning Select for under 16s because they should be listening to safe bands like Starship instead of PJ Harvey.
