Throwing a bottle into the ocean. Fellow academics (scholars, librarians, students etc):does anyone have access to Journal of Energy & Natural Resources Law (Taylor & Francis)? There’s an article I need, but my uni doesn’t have a subscribtion & it’s not available open access. Thanks for your help!
We have already seen (keep seeing) this dynamic in France: anti-Muslim policies justified in the language of “neutrality” or “public order” 'laïcité" progressively become broader restrictions affecting everyone else.
Anti-Muslim racism never remains limited to its initial target. Once fundamental freedoms become conditional for one group, they become weaker for everyone.
A measure politically aimed at Muslim women is presented as “neutral,” yet its real purpose remains obvious. And once such exceptional restrictions are normalized against one minority, they inevitably expand beyond their original target (and affect everybody).
