Labor’s “3 month ban” on new KPMG contracts won’t make an iota of difference when the Big 4 firm makes its sweet profits though contract amendments. The fact KPMG makes more money this way than from actual contracts shows the scale of the problem we face with the Big 4.
High time for the Govt to implement the reccomendations of earlier inquiries: reform their structures & subject partnerships to same rules of tax, transparency & whistleblowing as other large entities through corporations law, separate the functions of consultancy from audit & regulate.
