This proposal will:
🚎: add 280,000 transit service hours a year
📈: get Seattle back to pre-pandemic levels of transit service
💸: fully-subsidize ORCA Cards for 22,000 low-income Seattleites
⏰: build infrastructure that makes transit faster & more reliable
🦺: invest in safety & security for riders
A vendor was going car-to-car in my ferry line today for petition signatures to “repeal the income tax.” (WA does not have a conventional income tax, but a new law imposes a tax on 7-figure annual income.)
I asked if I could sign one INCREASING millionaire taxes but he didn’t have one of those.
“West Laurelhurst Community Council” seems like a more appropriate name for this group.
