I deserve to just rot and die… etc.. all while processing this in where everyone is kind of desperately trying to stay together to survive. And meanwhile she’s still trying to reject the responsibility of her actions. which is why judas continues to resent her even more. how cowardly…
in that regard, augustine is a kind of extremely frustrating person to deal with.. if you want to be a good person, then why don’t you just start working towards it instead of feeling sorry for yourself..? pitying yourself instead of making it up to the ones you’re hurting … Just die, Augustine
honestly there’s probably a lot of easier ways to describe how her ice works, but considering it’s such a ‘potential ability’, it really depends on the user’s creativity… and augustine doesn’t have that fighter’s spirit or sort of creativity either, however it is actively being trained into her
her self hatred is kind of painfully suffocating and it drags her down, but it’s also often dragging others down with her. instead of wanting to better herself, she’s still processing the shame and guilt of being awful. No one deserve to be around me. They’re not going to accept me, anyways.

i’ve always really liked writing augustine being forced to learn how to defend herself when at the start of the entire story she wants to be helpless so that she’s someone to be protected — and ive always kind of overlapped that thought process of hers with her fear of being alone
