My mother, the inimitable Jane Yolen passed away this morning after a blessingly short fight with Alzheimer’s. She did not suffer, and went peacefully into the ether which, I am certain for her, will be filled with words of the most exquisite beauty and meaning.
When heard I’d be getting a Reading the West award I looked up octopus costumes for dogs, of course. But they wouldn’t arrive on time so I attached some elastic to a plushie to make a hat for Abigail, who joined me for the acceptance video
