New paper out by Izidio et al., involving @marihaase: Crocodylomorph dietary versatility has implications for metabolic capacity ... if we could just extract metabolic signals from teeth 🐊 Link: www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
Happy Easter: Here are some Easter egg color ideas - based on our reconstructions of dinosaur egg colors! Not all dinosaurs laid hard-shelled eggs though, and we will update and expand this list soon thanks to brilliant research with @marihaase! 🐰🐣🌷 #easteregg #dinosaurs #DIY #paleoart
āœ… Both of your postdocs have their super fancy, lead-authored papers submitted, just in time for the next PI grant & faculty job cycle! 🤩 #paleontology #evolution #globalchangebiology #oceanography #fossils #microbiology #geochemistry #biosignatures
Join us at AbSciCon and/or reach out for opportunities in the lab! Here's the link to our lab homepage: www.jasminawiemann.com
It's time to move into our labs! 🤩
Huge congrats to @miller_m_l for passing the DQE - Rock on!
As a spectroscopist, your database is your ultimate legacy - so make sure to check out George's mineral [Raman + FT-IR] spectroscopy server! [3/3] Link: minerals.gps.caltech.edu
Lab renovations are almost finished!
I have learnt more about vibrational spectroscopy from George than any book could possibly teach. I'll miss our arguments about Raman spec manufacturers, dissections of FT-IR systems, and discussions about colors in (bio-)inorganic materials. [2/3]
I am heartbroken to learn to George Rossman has passed away - George was not only a brilliant chemist turned geoscientist, but also had an exceptionally good taste in methods - Raman + FT-IR spectroscopy - and cookies ... [1/3] www.gia.edu/gia-news-pre...
