I often write out people’s names by hand, even though I get distracted easily and have to re-check 2-3 times, because it helps me learn the names and that, to me, is a sign of respect.
(Also doesn’t bother me if someone mistypes mine as Sami or Summer — unless they’re trying to sell me something.)

I actually get satisfaction from hand typing the individual author names, even though I could cut and paste. It’s like virtually shaking each one’s hand, like some weird writer’s version of a Little League post-game ritual: ‘good article’ ‘good book’ ‘good article’
