Predicting the future is hard. Weather forecasting specifically the butterfly effect in action: one a small shift in what one storm system does can ripple outward and completely change what happens here (relative to the forecast)
All snark aside, sad to see a lot of tree damage at the south end of Jackson Park and the South Shore Cultural Center.
Incredible photo
Impressive satellite view of destructive storms marching across the Midwest this afternoon.
I showed you the way, & yet you did not heed my warnings. The god of electricity & loincloths spared my lights last night, while he did smite you & yours. REPENT, oh Chicago! And hasten downtown to show him proper obeisance. Save yourselves before the next line of storms passes through!
Another day of big storms is on tap. Can’t hurt to secure your balcony and patio items now after what happened downtown yesterday #ILwx #WXsky

Here are some probability outlook maps for variables like wind, hail, and tornados. FYI I'm just an amateur weather nerd, and know where to find this data so I can share it. As always, check in with real meteorologists you trust for up to date info through the day.
