Telling a Brewer’s Blackbird from a Common Grackle comes down to size, tail length, and iridescence. Grackles are much larger with long, wedge-shaped tails and heavy bills. Brewer’s Blackbirds are smaller (similar to a RWBB), feature shorter, rounded tails, and have purplish-green glossed plumage.
