Why are seemingly all of Susan Collins's campaign testimonials from professional Republicans (in this case a former GOP state representative) who don't identify themselves as such? It's sketchy but it also feels desperate. And sort of pathetic. #MEpolitics

Either the end of Roe v. Wade was awful and to be avoided (Susan Collins's stance in 2018) and so facilitating its demise is obviously a huge regret...or you're fine with it being gone and there's nothing to apologize for. But it's got to be one or the other. There's no straddle here. #MEpolitics
Almost all the pro-Susan Collins LTEs popping up in Maine papers are from professional Republicans who owe Susan Collins something. The anti-Susan Collins LTEs seem to be mostly from retirees and teachers and other regular folks with no obvious relationship to the Democratic party. #MEpolitics
Is it just us or is there a seething rage just beneath the surface of many of the letters to the editor about Susan Collins? #MEpolitics

Drinkwater had a 0% rating from Planned Parenthood in 2025. tinyurl.com/2b2xers3 Interesting that all the folks who want to strip women of their basic rights are all super thirsty to elect Susan Collins. Probably just a coincidence. #MEpolitics
Susan Collins helps confirm another Trumper -- in this case his personal attorney in E. Jean Carroll's defamation case -- to a lifetime federal judgeship. He's 41. He wouldn't say who won the 2020 election. Maybe if Susan Collins posts about it on Reddit the local media will cover it. #MEpolitics
The simplest way to make sense of Susan Collins not regretting her vote to install Brett Kavanaugh even after pledging to oppose any justice who'd vote to overturn Roe v Wade...is that the pledge was a lie to get her thru the 2020 election. Basically same shtick as her 2-term pledge. #MEpolitics

NEWS CENTER MAINE: This is the first reelection campaign that you're run since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. I was hoping you could talk to me a little bit about your vote to confirm Kavanaugh and whether you regret that? SUSAN COLLINS: I do not regret that vote.
