Charleston area. Surreal to see the damage. Glad to say so far nobody I know was hurt.
I love, I mean *love* Twister (1995), but it is so incredibly stupid. In all the best ways. Plus Meg’s house desperately makes me crave steaks and mashed potatoes.

Sounds like, so far anyway, that there no reported fatalities from any of these storms, just scattered injuries.
My parents and sisters houses took a near direct from a tornado about an hour ago. Thankfully all still alive and house damage is mild but no less scary. So much wreckage to trees and fences and power lines.
Just saw WCIA’s coverage of a tornado forming live near Effingham. Poor Jacob Dickey ended up seeing a couple of houses getting destroyed as well as what looked like a couple of bodies on the road after it passed. He’s in tears. Unbelievable, somber footage.
Also Twister was in 1996. My bad.

The radar provides a nice ambience. I actually watched Twister at a drive in theater a few years ago with thunderstorms all around us. A phenomenal, eerie experience
