Any typos spotted in this post had a delightful evening evening walk last night. If typos spotted, they'll be reminding themselves to bring a towel so they can go for an evening dip in the river before the weather gets too cold.
4 sweaty and dusty men (30s?) park their mountain bikes next to a water hole.
They strip to their undies, run and SPLASH!
Each doing a big manu* into the water.
Big booming laughs at the shock of cold.
Cheerfully floating on their backs with piggy piggy toes sticking out of the water. (2)
*A manu or manu bomb is jumping into water with your body in a V shape, making sure your backside hits the water first. Doing a manu is a bit of a Kiwi institution. www.teaonews.co.nz/2024/11/19/t...

A woman (20s?) is walking around a riverbend, long ponytail swinging.
Suddenly there's a faint "Woof" and she calls out: "Come on Bubba. Can't stay in there all day."
Waiting patiently as an elderly black staffy makes it way out of the water and up the bank, tail wagging. (4)
A small human (5?) in a Spiderman T-shirt and shorts is doing his very best to create a dam in the river by using his little plastic shovel to hurl pebbles into the appropriate space. Every now and then stopping to go over and inspect a particularly nice rock that Dad's found on the shore. (3)
A father and son (20s & 60s?) in matching plaid shirts and baseball caps are competing in a round of frisbee golf. Playfully trying to put each other off their game.
Golden afternoon light shining as the nearby bush echoes with birdsong. (5)
