i never had too much use for the mixing panel in CSP but today i noticed that it doesn't require holding the alt key to pick a color from it, so it might be useful for single-handed work
my french vocabulary has apparently expanded by another 15 or 16 words so this morning i went "wait, the artist often thought of as the epitome of elegance was called... 'René Oatmeal'?"
it's unsurprising since my usual day doesn't exacltly include francis bacon markmaking, but i do forget just how much easier and faster this is to work out my thoughts for things that include any amount of texture
(much like using actual film if you want to take pictures of trees)
(unrelated to that in the same week i learned that "Caran d'Ache" was a pun/transliteration of the russian word for pencil, karandash)

if i had the time and energy i would take a photo of these comps in the closest wooded area, if i didn't drop them first and never saw them again
still a few hours of the weekend left for the Personal Nonsense Program / probably the last time anyone asks me to help painting an apartment
