Played a bit more of this. If you like exploring weird, semi-abstract virtual spaces, it's a joy. Like the first game, it starts out in a gigantic tower which can be fully explored outside and in, but it's just the central structure in a big overworld.
Hits the same notes as Valkyrie Saga for me.

Just had my first poke around Automaton Heart, which launched yesterday. Backed this on Kickstarter because I liked its predecessor, Automaton Lung, so much.
Lung was one of the last games released for the 3DS, and one of the weirdest. Like exploring the skeleton of a vast but unfinished 3D Metroid
Automaton Heart is an RPG with platforming elements where you visit obscure and interesting places while upgrading your organs and strategizing about which items to bring along.
