Gaelic meme du jour: "Scots." "Beer in Boston."
THIS is why I shaved with straight razors back in the day before my beard.
This thread consists of photos I shot while out for a five mile walk, yesterday. I was doing it to gauge my fitness for hillwalking. It was okay, but I was a bit stiff and foot sore. More work needs doing. The wildflower house is in bloom.
#1, Gear Leacann, Gaelic for "Short Slabs." #2, Loch Poulary with Gairich in the background. #3, Mam an Doire Dhuinn was wreathed in clouds with sun on its flank, #4, the same hill after the clouds lifted, from a different angle.
This warning is at every trail head in the glen. I've done some wandering on several. No lies detected. Bog hopping is savage amusement, but bog hopping up the side of a Munro is a whole 'nother can of worms.
I finally found out what this sign means and why. Care to take a stab at it? Yes, it has a "You are leaving a non flashing beacon zone" companion. I was scratching my head until my mate sorted me out.
