Of course I didn't know yet that @maxkreminski.bsky.social and many others were already doing exactly that! But it seemed obvious, given how worldbuilding was gaining importance on the commercial side of cultural production.

In an old blog post from around that time, I wrote: "... I have the persistent impression that [worldbuilding] is establishing itself as an artistic field of its own. The topic deserves, I think, serious examination, likely even academic approach."
I've been arguing for "worldbuilding as its own creative practice / independent artform" all my life. I've always separated it from "standard" storytelling in my mind, and discovering r/worldbuilding on reddit back in 2014 or so only cemented it further.
