I remember seeing all the fawning, all the praise of the former and thinking "that? THAT? 4.5 stars? 5 stars? Really?" And then more people saw it and things evened out. And sure, a new Spielberg brings more promise, but the same patterns have emerged
Why is it that critics who see an advance screening of a film are always so overly positive? Is it the excitement of being one of the first to see something? It happened very noticeably with PROJECT HAIL MARY and again with DISCLOSURE DAY
