As Republicans vote to send an additional $70 billion to ICE and CBP, precious lives are being lost in detention. We received notice today of the 50th death in ICE detention under the Trump administration. Every death is a tragedy.
I'm seeing people post and repost, "ICE is not about immigration. ICE is about normalizing a paramilitary force on peaceful streets. Abolish ICE." Y'all, it's about more than one thing.
