I tried to design this infographic mapping out cognates of "wind" across the Indo-European family!

In the Tuareg sphere žəgəž for travel is an isolated term, but in the wider Amazigh world it's one of the most common roots , crazy !
Tuareg sphere is all tamajeq dialects + Northern Songhay .
But it's important to not that Tadaksahak retained the verb žəgəž for "to visit"
Are these words related ?
#Tamajeq :
- kukəl = to trample, to tread
#Tamazight :
- kakl = to chase, to pursue
#Tetserret :
- kakal = to chase, to pursue
Here Tamazight and Tetserret have the same meaning .
The word for the indigo fabric which is important in tuareg cultur is Alaššaw in tamajeq and Eddel in tetserret . Both are from pan-amazigh roots that mean to dress and to cover.
The word for " to travel"
#Tamasheq : sikəl
#Tamajeq : šikǝl
#Tadaksahak : šikǝl
#Tetserret : žǝgǝž
Surprisingly the Tetserret word is the most common in other amazigh language
It's interesting how French borrows from Old English , usually we talk a lot about borrowings in the other direction .
It's interesting to see when Tetserret and Tamajeq use two different pan-Amazigh words to refer to the same object .
For example the word for traditional milk bag is Anwar in Tamajeq and Agawšal in Tetserret , two words that are both found across Amazigh languages.
Meaning : greatness, old age
> Tamajeq : tǝmǝɣre
> Tamasheq : tǝmǝɣre
> Tamazight : timmuɣra
> Tetserret : tǝmmoṛa
Verb " to grow "
> Tamajeq : ədwəl
> Tetserret : egm
* The Tetserret word has cognat in many northern amazigh language. But the Tamajeq word is from a root that means in northern amazigh "to return, to become.." and this root exist even in Tetserret DBL but with the same meaning as in NA
