Using the anointed “closer” in a 7-2 game, first of a doubleheader??
I ain’t Roger or a scout, but that tracks with what I saw in Everett last Saturday. 2-5 (including a loud leadoff double into the LF corner and two grounders to short) and two steals.
The other standout was Villarroel. 3-4, BB, 2B, and an absolute TANK over the batter’s eye.
At Houser's last start, the first eight hitters in the Nationals lineup hit left-handed against him
Atlanta's lineup tonight has the first five batters being left-handed
Surely, at some point, the Giants are going to take the hint on this one
My trade value predictions:
Arraez: one 45 FV, or two 40 FV as core pieces.
Ray: nothing unless 6M+ is kicked in
A smart team will scoop up Mahle. Ramos will be desirable, lots of teams are getting nothing out of COF. Not sure I would move him except for a prearb/early arb backend SP.
Vitello has entered bunker mode it looks like. Embarrassing stuff.

casey schmitt hasn't walked in 99 plate appearances, dating back to may 24. he just chased two sliders from 56 year old carlos carrasco for an ugly strikeout
If the Giants get swept in Atlanta, Buster Posey will have the worst winning percentage of any GM/POBO in the SF era*
*This was quick math so beware, and depends on when you start the Haller period. If you start it when he took over
midseason, then yeah, Posey will be at the bottom.
Good luck on Devers without eating at the minimum 50M. For Adames, I think would have to eat 30M. Chapman, relatively easy to offload full deal, probably could net a decent return too, though NTC hits some value. Ray, like I posted earlier, 6M to get anything.

I’ve not been too impressed in the little bit of Whisenhunt I’ve seen this season. That was in the PCL environment though, let’s see if he looks better in the majors.
I think Tidwell has looked a lot better. Still don’t think he’s a starter long term.
