Not to put him down, but who needed Spielberg when we already had the superb John Glen?

I hope when #DoctorWho eventually returns, it starts with a #RedDwarf style text scroll that reads something like:
'Ignore everything
that happened
after Capaldi's
face started
glowing.
It was just a
cheese dream.'
I have a newfound respect for The #DoctorWho The Underwater Menace.
Never made it through ep4, so didn't realise main cast sounded so fond of each other/relieved to see each other alive.
Plot and realisation is still poor, but the story makes more *'coherent' sense now.
*To my knowledge of it.
Wait until the Northern Ireland Nazi thugs find out about Ulster Scots immigrants and their alien use of the colour orange to signal support for a foreign (Dutch) monarchy.
Maybe they'll have a pogrom against themselves.
Miss Hawthorne for the Doctor?
Is this wrong? I don't know anymore.

Film-maker says he approached producer ‘Cubby’ Broccoli after Jaws and Close Encounters of the Third Kind were hits, but was knocked back both times
Steven Spielberg said that he was turned down twice by the producers of the James Bond movies – and now they couldn’t afford him.
Spielberg was speaking to The Rest Is Entertainment podcast and was asked if he had any “regrets” about not directing a 007 movie. Spielberg said that he had approached Albert “Cubby” Broccoli, the legendary Bond producer who worked on every “official” Bond film between Dr No in 1962 and License to Kill in 1989, after Spielberg’s 1975 shark thriller Jaws became a major hit, but was turned down. Spielberg said: “I’d always wanted to make a James Bond film from the day I saw Dr No. So I called Cubby Broccoli after Jaws and I volunteered. I said, if you need a director, I would love to direct one. And he said, no. And he moved on.” Continue reading...

The BBC has cancelled the special Christmas episode of Doctor Who amid speculation about the future of the series after Ncuti Gatwa ended his run as the Time Lord.
The broadcaster also said the long-running sci-fi series, which launched in 1963, would be put out to “competitive tender” this year as part of its Royal Charter agreement after the departure of the showrunner Russell T Davies and producer Bad Wolf. Continue reading...

Umbrellas have been banned on a beach in Sardinia for anyone between the ages of 10 and 65 in the latest flashpoint in Italy’s long-running beach disputes.
The measure was among several imposed by local authorities at Punta Molentis beach in Villasimìus, on Sardinia’s south-east coast, as part of an initiative to protect its pristine environment. Continue reading...
