Why are they only playing touch against Keenan?
They aren't missing those tackles against anyone else.
Why would you assume that?
It's 2 salary units over 2 years. He's already received the 1st unit for playing this season and had the offer of the 2nd unit withdrawn and was offered 0.5 of a unit instead.
What?
I would be less annoyed if they had just not taken the option of the +1. At least then you've made a decision based on the agreement that was on place.
Trying to change the arrangement is underhanded and players won't trust the union in future.
Half the money that he was originally meant to be getting. There's no mention of what the other wingers in the system are getting.
No we aren't stacked with great wingers. We have some good options but they're all very injury prone.
Where are you getting the idea he'd be on twice the money?
He also made an important clear out on 16 minutes that I feel he might have shyed away from previously. His tackle technique looks a bit improved too, it will probably never be a strength but he seems to at least be trying to tackle lower.
Don't think the pass was on, Keenan was getting smashed if he got it. It was a poor decision to call for it wide in the first place.
I do think it looks like SP has learned a lot over his short break. He's more willing to make a dart (not excessively) and is committing to contact when he does.
