Michelle Obama to Barack: "How absurd it is to even imagine that you might have buckled under the pressure even once. Lashed out in frustration. Lost your temper. How absurd it is to imagine that you might have done anything but make our family and this entire country proud."
Michelle Obama: We simply don't have the luxury or time to be cynical or complacent. Hope is the essential spark that lights the fire of change. But hope is a choice. Being a decent human being is a choice. Believing that we still hold the power to build a country that reflects us all is a choice.
Barack Obama: More than 40 years ago, I arrived in Chicago, entering the city through the very spot where this center now stands. I was possessed with this abiding faith that if we could bridge some of the differences that drove us apart, then we could build an America where everyone has a fair shot
Currently going back and forth b/w the Knicks Celebration in NYC & the Grand Opening of the Obama Presidential Center. Just thinking how much I miss hearing speeches like this.
