Nature gave my youngest son a brilliant birthday gift today during a short rock pooling session before his beach party- 2 new species for us and both we’ve been particularly looking forward to seeing! Two Okenia elegans (Yellow-skirt/Venus Sea Slug) and Discodoris rosi. #nudibranch #rockpool
Daisy and the kids found this tiny nudibranch in rock pools at Paington today. They didn’t ID it at the time but appears to be Trapania maculata, a very rare species in the UK with only 25 NBN records! I expect we’ll be heading back this weekend for another look! #rockpool #nudibranch
