Again, I dont know if this is a good or bad idea, I just think it's coming
The original lesson of streaming services was that people werent pirates, they just wanted easy ways to press play
They'd pay to be legally sound
So maybe monetizing generation of artist's work resolves that too..?
The idea: artists could get payments for streams whenever someone listens to a song generated with their name in the prompt (or similar)
what makes this interesting to me is that it would be roughly the same as what happens today, artists get paid per stream
instead if saying N, models could say Y
I keep kicking around an idea that I feel must be in the future
I dont claim it is good or bad
From user POV, imagine I want to start each day with 3 songs that sound like NOFX (a fav band), but i want the lyrics to be yesterday's news
I would get the news via 3 songs sound like NOFX in shower
Alignment as a vehicle for copyright enforcement is interesting to consider
tried it on a repo without MemoryMtrls and it is tearing through tokens
my theory is that it is skipping a lot of tool calls, but i havent looked closely. just noticed the difference and realized i didnt install memorymtrls in it yet 🤔
