Really nice memoriam to Robert Ricklefs by Brian McGill: dynamicecology.wordpress.com/2026/06/11/r... Ricklefs got ecologists to think big: about the role of history, biogeography & macroevolution on ecological patterns. More than anyone, his work shaped the course of my career.
After growing thousands of them in the greenhouse, I finally could meet my study system in the wild, thanks #PEQG26! Come to my talk tomorrow at 11:00 am to learn how two sympatric monkeyflowers with weak reproductive isolation maintain their phenotypic differentiation
Just saw David Tian give a great talk about this work at #PEQG26!
Verdict is in . #PEQG26 remains my favorite conference. Thanks to @genetics-gsa.bsky.social and the organizers for continuing to make it awesome.

How do plants locally adapt to challenging habitats despite ongoing gene flow? Come find me tomorrow at poster 236W to chat about life history divergence on small spatial scales in the yellow monkeyflower! #PEQG26
