it's literally this simple! you have to spend money to make money, like any business since time immemorial you gotta invest in R+D (game pitches and concepts) buy inventory (make games) and then you can sell products (completed game copies to customers) idk what to say, it's how capitalism works

Trump revealed how much of US and, more broadly, western politics is all just predicated on people engaging in good faith. Or at least neutral faith. The instant someone engages in deliberate bad faith, it all collapses. Its happened with corruption in the past, but not with this flavor of openness
