There is no guarantee that they would come to Tottenham, but if you are looking at spending £85m you could:
Bid more for Wharton or GuimarĂ£es
Pay less for Locatelli, Camavinga, Baleba, Agoume, Gonzalez, Kone, Andres, Morton etc

thfc The fee Newcastle are looking at for Sandro Tonali is €100m/£85m total package.

Clinging to youth by getting back from a party late enough to watch the second half of Haiti vs Scotland
and (2) Spurs already have a midfield full of guys with great motors and they need a load-bearing passer, not a guy who usefully partners a load-bearing passer (Bruno at Newcastle, Barella for Italy)
the opportunity cost of making Tonali the big midfield signing is almost as high as the actual cost

As a Newcastle fan, this is the dream scenario. Selling him for loads of money to a team that doesn't need him. Spend the money on rebuilding the midfield with young talent.
Potentially move Bruno back to the base of midfield and bring in someone else who can progress the ball (Kees Smit the dream)
Kind, of ahem, noticeable that the condemnation of racist attacks is much more subdued than it briefly was when this oaf was out the door, isn’t it?
Spent a bit of time moaning about Tonali links today, but I think Van Hecke is awesome. Was always my top choice to replace Romero during previous windows (not to say that is definitely happening).
Really hope Spurs don't entertain any deal for Vuskovic, but I am very excited this

It’s funny that everyone seemed to forget that De Zerbi has pretty bad talent id. Still, we can all enjoy the ride while Spurs build a 7th place team on extremely high wages
