To be considered for the List: Works must be related to Asian American, Asian Canadian, or Pasifika experiences or cultures. (For works related to the Pasifika experience, all narratives will be considered, whether depicted on their traditional lands or living in diaspora.) Works must be written and illustrated by (one or more) creators of Asian American, Asian Canadian, or Pasifika heritage. Works should already be published or are scheduled for publication before December 31, 2026, and should be readily available for purchase by most US libraries when the list is formally released in 2027.
