And also why do they do ketchup with anything but mustard, or god forbid on its own? It doesn't work. Ketchup is a side ingredient to compliment mustard and nothing more.
Maybe it works with mayo also but I dislike mayo so I haven't found out, someone else will have to tell me if that works.

I don't understand the stereotypical burger.
Why is there cheese and sauce? They both fill the same function, just pick one.
And why is there lettuce and tomato? They are very cold and clash with the sauce.
Pickles are also cold but they do compliment most sauces and sometimes have good texture.
