I was thinking that if I ever wanted to do a "Megadungeon" style thing, it would likely be a series of connected Adventure Sites that the players could venture through to eventually get to some important, load-bearing place and realized that I was just thinking of Super Mario World maps again

Catching up on my delinquent play reports from my Caverns of Thracia game Thursdays in Thracia RELOADED! Credit as always to @chrispwolf.bsky.social, author of the original blog series.
Contained are the events from sessions 3-7 of my (mostly) bi-weekly campaign.
I'm so glad I don't talk about The OSR and just play The OSR because The OSR discourse leaves.... just so much to be desired. So unimpressed. Positively flaccid.
Folks in the indie RPG space sometimes talk about D&D's hegemony, but I have a varying conjecture: first exposure imprinting. I think there are 5E diehards because people are exposed to playing one game instead of playing multiple games.
Imagine if Batman was on bluesky...
"i dont like rolling and missing in combat."
"i dont like playing whole sessions without rolling dice"
