I was thinking that if I ever wanted to do a "Megadungeon" style thing, it would likely be a series of connected Adventure Sites that the players could venture through to eventually get to some important, load-bearing place and realized that I was just thinking of Super Mario World maps again
saw this cap on tumblr and god it really is like that

billhook.bearblog.dev/catching-up/ Catching up on my delinquent play reports from my Caverns of Thracia game Thursdays in Thracia RELOADED! Credit as always to @chrispwolf.bsky.social, author of the original blog series. Contained are the events from sessions 3-7 of my (mostly) bi-weekly campaign.

I'm so glad I don't talk about The OSR and just play The OSR because The OSR discourse leaves.... just so much to be desired. So unimpressed. Positively flaccid.
Folks in the indie RPG space sometimes talk about D&D's hegemony, but I have a varying conjecture: first exposure imprinting. I think there are 5E diehards because people are exposed to playing one game instead of playing multiple games.
