After the mid season dip, a leap in quality. Whilst you couldn't have the TARDIS this dimly lit all the time, it's a shame there wasn't more variety. Turlough takes until ep3 to finally call for the Doctor rather than the Black Guardian.

Like series 1, there's an episode that feels far weaker than the rest. Like the s1 aliens sketch, Scott of Paignton beach is just too long but as Terry Jones says, its hard to pad these out to 30 minutes...
