ff13's combat is so good when they don't have you fighting the same enemy formation for the 3rd time that ends up dying before you get to do anything interesting
crazy how 16 years later final fantasy 13 still has some of the prettiest environments in video games
I was never the biggest traditional atb system fan because the combat systems never did much with it outside of pressuring you to menu quicker and the occasional boss you have to wait off but ff13's csb system does such a good job actually rewarding good timing on your attacks
just remembered that the final fantasy 7 remake's opening randomly decided to keep playing the one winged angel motif over the original score because subtlety is for cowards

not to mention just how slick the paradigm shift system feels to use
rockstar's open world games are technical marvels but I truly do not understand their appeal beyond that for anyone who isn't literally or spiritually a 12 year old boy
