Don't miss @hypothesisfund.bsky.social awardee Tim Cernak on @scifri.bsky.social! Incredible mission-driven science that we are proud to support! He is also currently hiring a postdoc: careers.umich.edu/job_detail/2... www.sciencefriday.com/segments/wil...
The Bisson Lab at IU (bissonlab.com) is hiring makers/builders/engineers across all career stages to join our team in one of the most exciting and crazy projects I've set to work on. Candidates can email us: [email protected] More info in the thread [1/3]
Univ. Utah biologist (the amazing Talia Karasov) wins seed grant to deepen research into tailocins, the weapons microbes use on each other. attheu.utah.edu/facultystaff... @hypothesisfund.bsky.social @utah.edu
A novel angle on antibiotic resistance may come from understanding how bacteria protect themselves from viruses. Dr. Karasov’s bold new project explores how bacterial antiviral defense systems could reveal entirely new insights into antibiotic resistance and fundamental biology.
I’m honored to join the Scouts of the Hypothesis Fund @hypothesisfund.bsky.social and help bring beautiful, hard-to-categorize, and easy-to-underestimate biological questions to the fore. Excited for this!
We are recruiting participants for endometriosis research. Our lab is studying menstrual blood to develop better diagnostic and therapeutic tools for endometriosis. If you would like to participate, please complete this survey: redcap.berkeley.edu/surveys/?s=8... #Endometriosis #WomenHealth
Very excited to share the most recent review from our lab, available online and soon in #BiochemSocTrans! This review covers an area of ongoing research in the lab: the role of TAM receptors in the spread of non-enveloped viruses portlandpress.com/biochemsoctr...
The @hypothesisfund.bsky.social has awarded a prestigious seed grant to @uofubiology.bsky.social professor Talia Karasov, who researches the microbial weapons bacteria inflict on each other in an evolutionary arms race that might hold the keys to addressing the threat of antibiotic resistance.
