BIG STORY: ICE arrested, shackled and separated Israel and Max Makoka as they were about to board their school bus in Diamondhead, Miss.
While one brother endured confinement and pressure to self-deport in a Louisiana prison, the other was sent to a youth home in Texas.
Now, they tell their story.
Such sad news. We're honored to have been able to work with Redhawk Publications to distribute Clarence’s memoir THE LAST OF THE LIONS. His legacy and impact will continue to resonate for generations and we extend our heartfelt sympathies to his family, friends, and community 💚

Triangle friends: come out tomorrow (April 21) to celebrate the publication of Bill Link's excellent new book on Jesse Helms at Flyleaf books.
John Drescher and I will be on a panel with Link discussing the book and Helms' legacy. Should be fun. Will be even more fun if you're there.
