I’m essentially an outsider here, but I’m not sure this is a great outcome. No literary outlet is going to be able to turtle up as regards this issue, and preemptively dismantling community apparatus isn’t a great thing either.

i for one have full confidence in the trump administration's ability to adequately refit a plane donated by a foreign government into a highly secure mobile command center for the united states executive, following their unquestionably successful renovation of A Large Pool of Water
stopping research will not, in fact, do anything at all for "the classroom"
creating tenure-line faculty positions, reducing class sizes, and funding libraries will each do a lot, though
