i think we also need to have a talk about "reprints". you can demand exclusivity OR you can insist authors come with an audience but you can't have both.

You can't easily go to a press with a serial unless it does crazy numbers (see: your Dungeon Crawler Carls of the world). At that point though we also have to ask ourselves what "crazy numbers" even means for work that speaks to minority populations specifically.
