1/ Avec @lorisguemart.bsky.social, nous avons appris que l'Université Paris Cité, où Étienne Klein avait soutenu sa thèse plagiée (Paris 7 alors), a décidé - au terme de 20 mois d'une instruction pour manquement à l'intégrité scientifique + sections disciplinaires - de lui retirer son doctorat.

My opinion ? Stellantis is both a reflection and an accelerator of everything wrong with 🇪🇺 capitalism If there is any political will to reindustrialise and catch-up with 🇨🇳 on EVs and the 🇺🇸 on autonomous cars, Europe must bring carmakers' investment back and nice incentives won't be enough 🥕
2️⃣ They don't care about 🇪🇺 sovereignty ACC, Stellantis & Mercedes JV to produce batteries in Europe, does not get a single mention, probably not dead yet but they are clearly seen as a low-volume supplier The absence of ACC clearly contrasts with the mentions of Leapmotor, Dongfeng and CATL 🇨🇳
1️⃣ So much for the 🇫🇷-🇮🇹/🇪🇺 Champion Most of the investments will be in 🇺🇸 (North America) 🇪🇺 will face cuts of 800.000 units, 1/5 of Stellantis' capacity on the continent Multiple partnerships announced with 🇨🇳 companies both to offload underused plants and develop new tech

3️⃣ Where is this going? Market reaction was -6%, probably reflecting the impression that the strategy is still unclear: no brands sold or phased out, market restart in China with made-in-China cars, key EV and digital tech developed by partners
