Reunited, and it feels so good.
Or it will once I pull my keyboard and cables out of storage. Thank you @1uprestorations.bsky.social !
The best convention in the US. Sure, the vendor floor is great, but it’s hard to convey the amount of hands-on video game history that one can experience here. Unique experiences, not just shopping.
I did a speedrun of Glass Joe on the newly discovered prototype of Punch Out! It doesn't play any audio though, so I ended up doing a complete restoration of the audio using very advanced tech.
Please hear the tech you won't regret the tech.

The #OpenFC project has finally launched. 😄
It is a faithful #OSHW reproduction of the original HVC-CPU-07 Famicom, complete with a composite companion board and a 4-layer design that helps mitigate the notorious jailbars.

Just finished restoring this Genesis Model 1 using @zaxour.bsky.social 3BP+ and flex cables, and it’s a game changer!
The flex makes the install clean with only a few wires needed, and the 3BP+ makes the video and audio look phenomenal! I recommend this combo to get the best from your Genesis!

Another (mostly) new SNES built using @starlightk7.bsky.social OpenSFC project! The purple PCB is probably my favorite color, and translucent shell is a great way to display this project

Recently I built a new Famicom with the OpenFC project and I love how it turned out! This project lets you build your own Famicom using mostly new parts, and has a number of improvements while still replicating the original design.

This week I installed the new NESRGB 5.0 and it’s packed with lots of new features and quality of life improvements. It’s a big upgrade over the original composite video, and the install guide is here:
