Lawyers are currently dictating how much I can say. Police create situations we can't talk about, they police the language and the outrage. But, like always, I’m writing poems. Metaphor will hold the grief and rage for now.
I thought it was because I'm traveling and the fireflies only vanished where I'm from but people here are also saying they are seeing them for the first time in decades. Truly a beautiful return.

My take for today - which I guess is just itching for fighting - is to say that basically we have convinced ourselves that books should be free and be provided to the public as a service, without actually demanding that anyone pay authors for it.
And authors keep writing anyway!
