The Swedish Road Administration seems to assume that crossing a 2+1-road (100 km/h) becomes safer when people also have to fumble with a gate. How exactly? I might have kids with me, too. How can it not be their responsibility to limit the speed instead? But hey, we can't disturb the drivers!
Why would I feel humiliated when a) having to press a beg button, b) having to wait maybe 1 m away from cars zooming past me way above speed limit (which is too high to begin with) and c) getting showered by their tyres spraying dirty water from the recent rain all over me?
