Vision Zero, or Zero Vision?
Yesterday 100+ activists packed Boston City Hall to demand accountability from the City. What did we get? A promise of a mere 2.5 miles of bike lanes, just 100 speed humps, and lackluster platitudes around commitment.
Our city deserves better. Safe streets can't wait.
Completely packed City Hall for today's hearing on safe streets!
Here’s what we’re asking:
🔸 Update all time-bound projects at risk of losing funding
🔸 Resume the speed humps program immediately
🔸 Build Compliant Safer Street Infrastructure
🔸 Restart regular conversations with advocates
🔸 Fully staff the Streets Cabinet with safety-focused engineers and leaders
Join the Boston Task Force (T4MA, Shared Spaces, BCU) for a rally before the crucial public hearing on street safety. We need to pack the room!
