🧬 Scientist (bioinformatics / genomics), 🧑🏻‍💻 software developer, 🪴 community builder. Product Manager for open source @seqera.io
Phil Ewels
There are several use cases for this, but the example shows a common one: a recent MultiQC release had a Bioconda bug fix under the same version number, so the normal request returned the older cached image. Editing the YAML lets you pin the exact build you want, generating a fresh image.. ✨
It's amazing to see how much Nextflow has grown! When I joined Seqera in 2022, there were multiple places around the world who barely had anyone who had ever run Nextflow. It's a totally different scenario in 2026, and it's so nice to have been on board during this trip! 🤩
Join @ewels.bsky.social (Senior Product Manager, OSS) and Ben Sherman (Senior Software Engineer) on June 17 to discover everything that's new in the latest @nextflow.io release. ⬇️
@multiqc.info has ~200 config options for customizing reports: renaming samples, reordering modules, dropping stats columns, tweaking plot defaults, and more.📊 But most users don't know what's possible, so we built a MultiQC Config Wizard. hubs.la/Q04hgKlS0

Had a lot of fun hacking with this over the past few days (it went through multiple variations!) Thanks to @vladsavelyev.bsky.social for doing the initial refactoring work under the hood in #MultiQC and wiring up Pydantic, and starting the first version of config wizard 🎉
Registration is now open for the October #NextflowSummit! Both online virtual attendance (free) and in-person hackathon / training, in Barcelona 🇪🇸 Come and join to see what the fuss is about, get new skills, meet old friends and hear the latest and greatest in scientific developments! ✨ 🎉

Jeremy Wang developed rammap, a minimap2 rewrite in Rust. It achieves comparable or better performance than minimap2 and produces identical output to minimap2. During rewrite, Jeremy found two long-existing bugs in minimap2 which are fixed in v2.31. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
New in @seqera.io #Containers: you can now edit the #conda environment.yaml directly to control how your container is built. 📦 📄 ✍️ The UI also shows how to do the same with the Wave CLI in your terminal, which also saves to Seqera Containers. Short demo: youtu.be/DkRgor8Mx4A seqera.io/containers

I finally gave in and wrote myself an @elgato.com #StreamDeck to do "fake typing" for demo videos. You can "type" preset texts (long-press for alt., also cycle or print random) and make it look more Human with delays, randomness and even typos 😅 Code is on GitHub 👉🏻 github.com/ewels/type-d...
