Guy who actually knows and talks about transit and especially trains vs guy who talks about bikes remains the single best litmus test for who's a serious transformative urbanist vs who just wants Tel Aviv but for white upper middle class millennials

Today's anti-trans Supreme Court ruling is an example of what we call gender fascism. Nothing is more dangerous to young people than forcing them into roles that don't fit their needs. Legislation and state violence wouldn't be necessary to impose these norms if the norms were really “natural.”

Better Things Are Possible
I really do think militant cyclists and their consequences have been a disaster for the movement to eliminate urban car-dependency, to the point I highkey think it might be a fossil fuel industry op

Increasingly done with any urbanism that isn't explicitly leftist and anti-capitalist This is becoming an apartheid of shitlib hipster lifestylists who can afford to center their entire lives within a 3km radius of downtown vs a transient precariat subjected to regressive taxation to facilitate it

Implementing bubble zones limits peaceful protests and our right to freedom of expression. In a time when having our voice heard is harder than ever, protecting our right to speak out is critical to democracy. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

The Fight for Gender Self-Determination
To confront the legislative assault on trans freedom, we must shift from a discourse of rights to create the conditions for gender self-determination.
