Indiepocalypse #77, the latest in the long running and deicated indie game curatorial effort is now out! -10 curated games for $15! -Zine! -Newly commissioned game by @cutegamesclub.itch.io -Cover by Minha Lee (whatisaminha.tumblr.com) pizzapranks.itch.io/indiepocalypse-77
I don't think of the art/alternative/freeware/etc. games space as necessarily a strict "instead of" alternative to the commercial games space, but I feel like it is necessary for maintaining a healthy diet of games as an artistic medium.
Last Friday the latest Indiepocalypse (which is, of course, a monthly curated collection of the more alternative game scene) came out and I think makes for a perfect supplement to that large blast of commercial game trailers from around that very same Friday.
